fucking guitar hero three. you need to be some kind of octopus rainman, some giga fingered autistic mutant to get anywhere past medium on this goddam diabolical contraption.
so much so that i have decided to lay off the mighty ax for a while. sir richard bishop and earth next month and i want their oppocentric geeetar stylings to be fresh and funsome in my mind rather than thinking ‘blue blue red red green yellow’ while listening to the dire and ever circling wolves thundering from the speakerstacks.
so’s i’ve dug out some electronickery, something less stringed and pedalled and marshalled for a wee change.
this is not a renouncing of rawk. merely a korg assisted (su)aside. this isn’t some nonsense statement along the lines of ‘guitar music’s dead’ hm’kay.
i. just. need. a. frickin. break.

Interesting selection. Guitar hero takes the creativity out of playing real guitar. It’s taking over, and no one will ever play the actual guitar again…

it’s just irritating to be as mediocre at fake guitar as i am at real guitar.
but you do get to play along to sonic youth without retuning every string on yr guitar to f# or something.
